Are you ready to drive quality in the dynamic world of renewable energy workforce development at the Global Wind Organisation (GWO)? As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking a highly capable and experienced Quality Manager!

Join us if you have a strong operational focus on implementation and continuous improvement of our risk-based quality management system, you know how to manage change, and you get results. Standards help our industry work more efficiently and effectively. Last year, more than 170,000 technicians working within the wind industry received GWO certified training accessed from more than 550 third-party certified training providers throughout the world. GWO is on a path to expand this workforce significantly while creating a broader set of standards, so we need your help.

We work closely with our members and other stakeholders in achieving our strategic goals, and we rely heavily on trust in our work. We are looking ahead at strong growth and expansion of work focus areas. It is a strategic imperative to maintain excellence in our quality of work through all of the changes ahead. Standards help our industry work more efficiently and effectively. More than 170.000 technicians working within the wind industry recieve GWO certified training, and we are on a path to expand this workforce significantly, and on describing a broader set of standards they will be able to access at more than 500 third party certified training providers throughout the world.

How will you contribute?

As the Quality Manager, you will develop and maintain our quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have the autonomy to establish and operate strategic frameworks while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our quality objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Set direction for, and lead, the Quality Management function
  • Develop and operate the Quality Management System (QMS) based on input from other functions
  • Implement and operate our Business Management System
  • Risk Management process owner governing Strategic and Operational Risks
  • Define requirements for Document Management and Control
  • Plan and conduct internal audits
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations to another functional managers and to the CEO
  • Act as secretary for Audit and Compliance Committee and assist the committee in its duties and responsibilities

What we expect
  • Extensive Quality Management experience, preferably from wind or similar industry
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing quality management systems
  • Experience in working in a regulatory context, preferably with an international perspective/scope
  • Experience with Risk Management
  • Understanding of wind industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Education or Certification in Quality Management and Risk management (e.g. Six Sigma, ISO 9001, ISO 31000) preferred
  • Seasoned stakeholder manager, capable of managing high impact stakeholders from multinational matrix organisations
  • Fluent in English (verbally and written)
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office
