Project progress is determined by many factors. This timeline is updated to reflect approvals and gates in the relevant project plan.
November 13, 2025
Public Hearing early December. Deadline to review conditional approvals that the updated training will not require additional audits and the training will remain as a refresher, aligning with the same assessment level as the initial training.
November 4, 2025
Needs an agreed date to review conditional approval. This could be during December review period for January Training Committee submission.
October 27, 2025
Steering Group Conditional approval of Gate 3. Need a date to review the conditions.
Project scope
Existing standard review with a focus on improving usability and alignment with changes to GWO Requirements documents. Consideration of how scenario-based training can enhance relevance and effectiveness of this standard.
Thomas manages GWO training standard review and development. Thomas had a long career in the Danish Navy, Training and Education branch, before joining GWO in August 2020. His key focus areas are pedagogical and didactic development.
