The GWO Safety & Training Awards are back for 2026.
Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is proud to open nominations for this year’s awards, recognising the hardworking instructors and dedicated training teams who are helping to skill the energy transition across the wind and solar industries.
The winners will be announced at the 2026 GWO Safety & Training Forum in Paris, where we will honour the individuals and teams raising the bar for quality, dedication, and safety worldwide.
Award Categories
The 2026 edition features two award categories:
Instructor of the Year – celebrating individuals who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding training and make a lasting impact on the wind and solar energy workforce.
Training Team of the Year – recognising teams that demonstrate exceptional collaboration, innovation, and commitment to GWO standards.
Whether you are nominating a standout instructor or recognising a team for outstanding collaboration, this is your opportunity to showcase excellence in safety and training.
Excellence Across the Years
Over the years, the GWO Safety & Training Awards have recognised organisations from across the globe, including Tesicnor (Spain), Inspire Treinamentos (Brazil), Renewable Training Centre RTC (USA), ENSA North America (USA), Taiwan International Windpower Corporation (Taiwan), SP-Wind (South Africa), Salvacon (Mexico), and RelyOn (UK).

How to Nominate
Nominations are open from 25 February to 30 May 2026.
All course participants who completed a GWO course after June 2025 are invited to nominate their instructor or a training team by completing the nomination form available here.
The top candidates will then move onto a second stage in early June where nominations will be assessed by a judging panel to determine the winners of each category.
We encourage training providers to share the nomination link widely — use a QR code, include it in course materials, add it to follow-up emails, display it in classrooms, and promote it via internal platforms and social media channels. The greater the visibility, the greater the opportunity to recognise those making a real difference in safety and training.
For more information, please visit the Awards website or consult the FAQ document.
We look forward to celebrating excellence in Paris. Good luck to all nominees!
