GWO has completed the final pilot of its new High Voltage T-Connector Installation and Transformer Maintenance modules, with feedback from four pilots now set to inform the final training content ahead of release later this year.

The final pilot of the new GWO High Voltage T-Connector Installation & Transformer Maintenance modules took place at Skive College in mid-August 2026, officially closing this extensive testing phase for the High Voltage Transformer Maintenance module. This milestone follows the completion of two earlier pilots (conducted in Denmark, also at Skive College and in the Netherlands at Reynard HV Solutions) for the High Voltage T-Connector Installation module, as well as a third one conducted by Certified Safety Academy at facilities provided by KWS Energy Knowledge in Essen, Germany.
Building on the insights gained from the pilot by in Essen, this final pilot saw participants engage with technical specialists to learn about different types of High Voltage transformers and the practical demands of safe work with High Voltage equipment. Over the course of the day, technical topics were explored, from inspection routines to fault identification within a setting which mirrors real-life work conditions for HV transformer maintenance.
This pilot offered an important, second opportunity for the GWO team and the technical working group to see the draft training material in action, to observe impacts on participants understanding of tasks, to develop practical skills and the capability to maintain safe work conditions while working with High Voltage Transformers.
With findings from all four pilots now captured, the next steps in this project involve making the necessary adjustments to the training content in the High Voltage T-Connector Installation and High Voltage Transformer Maintenance modules.

The drafting of the final standard remains on track for release later this year.
