The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is seeking a talented and motivated student to join our Compliance and Operations Team. As a student assistent, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience while contributing to the global efforts in wind energy safety and standardisation.

Global Wind Organisation's mission is to enable a safer energy transition as the globally leading body for standardised training and workforce development.

Standards help our industry work more efficiently and effectively. Last year, more than 170,000 technicians working within the wind industry received GWO certified training accessed from more than 550 third-party certified training providers throughout the world. GWO is on a path to expand this workforce significantly while creating a broader set of standards, so we need your help.

How will you contribute?

The student position is an administrative position within the Operations and Compliance Team. The student assistant will work closely with colleagues to assist our stakeholders, including more than 550 training provider who use the GWO standards and the WINDA database.

The primary responsibilities of the assistant are to support the team with:

Operations

  • Invoicing and collection
  • Handling the Auditor Qualification Training and Auditor Development Training systems alignment and updates

Compliance and quality assurance

  • Zendesk support and case handling
  • Onboarding and alignment of training providers
  • Onboarding and alignment of certification bodies/auditors
  • Data intelligence
  • Audit reports review

WINDA database operation and development

  • User support
  • Testing
  • Other office related tasks

As our new colleague you are

An overall pleasant person, well grounded in healthy values, service minded and good interpersonal skills. You are detail oriented and know the importance of communicating constructively. Even when you do not know the answer to a question, you do take the time to assist the person seeking an answer.

What we expect:

  • Academically ambitious and currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in a relevant field
  • Plan to work for GWO for at least 12 months
  • Can communicate at a high level in English (both written and verbally). Other languages are an advantage but not a requirement
  • Know your way around the MS Office suite
  • Self-disciplined, organised, and able to keep track of multiple tasks
  • Fast learner when it comes to relevant software tools, databases, and technology platforms used in compliance and operations. Familiarity with any of these can be an advantage.

Gain hands-on experience in the booming renewable energy industry and contribute to global wind energy safety initiatives. Enhance your skills in compliance, operations, process management, and data analysis. We offer 15 hours of work per week and there is also the possibility to extend working hours during vacation periods. We expect you to work on agreed, fixed days but with flexibility to match your school days and exam periods. Work during school holidays will be required in alignment with the line manager.
