Global Wind Organisation's mission is to enable a safer energy transition as the globally leading body for standardised training and workforce development.

Standards help our industry work more efficiently and effectively. Last year, more than 170,000 technicians working within the wind industry received GWO certified training accessed from more than 550 third-party certified training providers throughout the world. GWO is on a path to expand this workforce significantly while creating a broader set of standards, so we need your help.

How will you contribute?

As a Communication Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our communication and marketing efforts, ensuring that our key messages reach and engage our target audiences effectively. You will assist the Global Development & Stakeholder Relations team in its delivery of a varied communication and stakeholder relations programme that includes creating content, website updates, event management and ongoing campaign activity.

Primary responsibilities
  • Assist in developing communication and marketing plans for products, launches, events, and promotions.
  • Support in creating and commissioning high quality content to engage audiences and convey key messages.
  • Assist in overseeing the organisation’s online presence and help maintain the globalwindsafety.org web platform to a sufficient standard.
  • Support in developing and managing GWO CVI for internal/external use. Assist in promoting compliance within Secretariat operations and among external partners where necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating projects to support stakeholder management as a strategic enabler, such as events, webinars, meetings etc.
  • Support in coordinating relevant press and media relations activities.

A well-grounded individual with healthy values and excellent interpersonal skills. You know the importance of communicating constructively, and even when you do not know the answer, you take the time to assist the person asking the question.

What we expect
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in a communication and engagement role preferably in a B2B context
  • Native level English (verbally and written)
  • Strong user of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and channels.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communication.
