As the fourth-largest wind market in Europe, France is advancing its offshore wind ambitions while seeking to stabilise onshore deployment.

Every year, the GWO Safety & Training Awards recognise Training Providers that are raising the standard for safety, learning, and workforce development across the global wind industry. These awards celebrate organisations that consistently deliver high-quality GWO training, demonstrate excellence in training delivery and safety, and show a strong commitment to developing the skills and confidence of those entering and working within the renewables sector.
In 2025, we recognised outstanding Training Providers and Instructors from our highly talented global community. In the lead up to this year’s Safety and Training Awards, we’re looking back on these winners and shining a light on their excellent work.
Taiwan International Windpower Training Corporation (TIWTC) was recognised as the Training Team of the Year – APAC for its commitment to developing a skilled and safety-focused offshore wind workforce in the Asia-Pacific region. As Taiwan's first dedicated offshore wind training centre, TIWTC has played an important role in supporting the rapid growth of the region's wind industry through high-quality GWO training and close collaboration with industry partners.
InsPire Treinamentos was named Training Team of the Year – Latin America, recognising its dedication to delivering quality GWO training and helping to strengthen safety standards across Brazil and the wider Latin American wind industry. Through its focus on practical learning and continuous improvement, the team continues to support the development of a skilled energy workforce.
Renewable Training Center (RTC) received the Training Team of the Year – North America award in recognition of its commitment to training excellence and workforce development. With experienced instructors, comprehensive GWO training programmes and a strong focus on creating safe, confident technicians, RTC continues to make an important contribution to safety across the North American wind industry.
Tesicnor was named Training Team of the Year – EMEA, recognising its commitment to delivering high-quality GWO training and supporting the development of a skilled workforce across the European, Middle-Eatern and African wind industry.
Based in Spain, Tesicnor provides accredited safety and technical training for the renewables industry, combining experienced instructors, modern training facilities and a strong focus on practical learning. Its commitment to continuous improvement and high standards for training has helped prepare thousands of technicians to work safely in onshore and offshore environments.
In 2025, four outstanding instructors were recognised across GWO's global regions.
Tony Fang was recognised as the Instructor of the Year 2025 – APAC for his dedication to delivering engaging, high-quality training and supporting the development of a skilled and safety-focused workforce across the Asia-Pacific region.
Through his outstanding work, Tony has helped technicians build the confidence and competence needed to work safely in demanding environments. His ability to create a positive learning experience while maintaining the highest safety standards made him a deserving recipient of the 2025 award. '
Maciej Talarski received the Instructor of the Year 2025 – EMEA award in recognition of his professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment to helping technicians succeed.
Known for his engaging training style and focus on practical application, Maciej consistently delivers high-quality learning experiences that empower participants to apply their knowledge confidently in the workplace. His dedication to both safety and continuous improvement has had a lasting impact on the technicians he trains.
Gustavo Ribeiro Rosa was named Instructor of the Year 2025 – Latin America, recognising his commitment to delivering exceptional GWO training and supporting the continued growth of the renewable energy workforce across the region.
Through his technical expertise, Gustavo has helped develop competent, safety-conscious technicians while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Ian White was recognised as the Instructor of the Year 2025 – North America for his dedication to training excellence and his passion for developing the next generation of wind technicians.
His commitment to creating positive learning experiences, maintaining high training standards, and ensuring participants leave with the skills and confidence to work safely has made him a valued instructor within the GWO community.
The Training Team of the Year award recognises more than outstanding training delivery. It celebrates the instructors, support teams, and organisations whose dedication helps create safer workplaces and stronger safety cultures across the renewables industry.
