In Q2 of this year, GWO saw an increase in incidents reported to us. We thank you for your efforts in helping to raise the bar of learning within the wider community and ensure that your workplaces stay as safe as possible.

To improve training safety, it is important that you continue to consistently report incidents. While reporting incidents is a requirement, the primary goal is to create and maintain safe training environments for Course Participants and Instructors.

What is Incident Data Used For?

Incident data is used to share learnings across the GWO training network, as well as to identify potential patterns related to specific training standards that must be considered when making improvements to the overall range of GWO training standards. GWO does not attach any negative consequences or KPIs to incident reporting. Instead, we encourage a transparent safety culture built on sharing learnings through open dialogue.

Take Measures to Stay Safe

We encourage you to continue reviewing risk assessments and to consider additional mitigations you can implement onsite to help keep your workforce safe.
