IQTT Course in Taiwan Strengthens Global Instructor Network

In late June, GWO successfully delivered its five-day Instructor Qualification Trainer Training (IQTT) course in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, bringing together experienced GWO instructors from Japan, the Philippines, South Africa and Taiwan.

Designed for experienced GWO instructors, the IQTT programme equips participants with the abilities to become qualified GWO ‘Train-the-Trainers,’ and beyond strengthening instructional skills, it ensures that high-quality training continues to support a safer global wind industry.

The impact of the programme is perhaps best captured by the participants themselves.

One newly qualified IQT Trainer reflected:

"For me, this qualification is more than another certificate. It is a reminder that excellent instructors never stop learning. The better we become as educators, the safer and more competent the next generation of wind technicians will be.”

Another milestone from the Taiwan course was the qualification of Japan's first IQT Trainers. Reflecting on the achievement, Shusaku Morinaga said:

"It's been a challenging road, but Sakamoto-san and I have completed our IQTT journey together — and we are honored to become Japan's first IQT Instructors. From here, we will work side by side to elevate the quality of GWO training in Japan."

Participants also praised the course facilitators, Thomas Grønlund and Claire Wright, for delivering a programme that challenged participants to think beyond technical instruction and deepen their understanding of adult learning, didactics, assessment and the GWO Taxonomy.

The next GWO Instructor Qualification Trainer Training (IQTT) course will take place at the GWO premises in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 7–11 December 2026.

The IQTT course is intended for experienced GWO instructors who wish to expand their competencies and become qualified GWO Train-the-Trainers.
