Are you ready to lead financial strategy for a purpose-driven global organisation?
Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Team. If you're passionate about strengthening the financial sustainability of a global purpose-driven organisation, developing business models for long-term viability, and enabling informed decision-making through strong financial leadership and organisational insight, this is the opportunity for you.
Global Wind Organisation is a global non-profit body driving safety standards and training for the wind turbine industry, working towards an injury-free workplace and supporting sustainable growth in renewable energy. Our mission is to enable a safer energy transition as the globally leading body for standardised training and workforce development.
Standards help our industry work more efficiently and effectively. More than 210.000 technicians working within the wind industry receive GWO certified training, and we are on a path to expanding this workforce significantly, and to describing a broader set of standards they will be able to access at more than 500 third party certified training providers throughout the world. Our strategic focus on workforce development aims to increase the pool of GWO trained entry-level technicians and secure a workforce fit for the industry’s long-term growth in construction, installation, operations, and maintenance.
How will you contribute?
As Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring GWO’s financial sustainability, long-term viability, and organisational success. As a member of the Executive Team, you will provide enterprise leadership across financial strategy, planning, governance, risk management, and organisational performance. Working closely with the CEO, COO, Board, and other leaders, you will enable informed decision-making through strong financial management, enterprise planning, performance reporting, and organisational assurance.
In addition, you will lead GWO’s enabling functions, including Finance, People & Culture, and Quality Management. You will ensure these functions provide effective governance, organisational capability, performance insight, and the support required to deliver GWO’s strategic priorities. You will also ensure GWO maintains appropriate legal preparedness and strong organisational foundations. By connecting financial sustainability with strategic execution and organisational effectiveness, you will help ensure that GWO’s decisions are financially sustainable, operationally achievable, and positioned to support the organisation’s continued impact.
