August 15, 2025
Gate 3 delayed. Training Committee asked for a further analysis of uptake and demand. Moved to 11 September.
August 14, 2025
Design report with Training Committee for approval today. Following approval, Public Hearing planned for September, piloting end of September/October, final release gate November. Release December.
June 2, 2025
Re-grouping with the working group now Operations & Cable Pulling modules completed. Analysis to the Training Committee in August. Release planned for December.
Project scope
This project aims to develop and implement a high voltage standard in the wind industry to address skilled labour shortages, enhance safety and streamline upskilling.
Thomas joined GWO in 2023, with 20 years’ experience in development and delivery of Safety, Emergency Response & Technical training across Europe, the Middle East, Asia & Africa. He has managed a number of Training Providers in different regions approved under GWO and within the wider offshore training sector. Thomas spent several years in the role of Approvals Auditor for Training Providers in the offshore industry globally, ensuring safety and quality of systems, resources, staff & delivery.
