GWO is pleased to announce FairWind as its newest member, bringing nearly two decades of experience in end-to-end wind projects to the shared mission of workforce development for the energy transition. As a turbine installation and service provider, FairWind’s expertise will shape the continuous development of workforce preparedness and further enrich the perspective of the GWO community’s member base.
Providing wind turbine solutions at the installation and commissioning phases of projects, as well as maintenance and lifecycle support, FairWind has a workforce of over 2,200 and a presence in six continents. Operating in 40 countries, FairWind’s teams work to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable performance of wind assets across the globe. The company has worked on a wide range of projects, from supporting the installation of the Horizonte wind farm in Chile, one of the largest renewable energy installations in Latin America, to installing 22 turbines on Finland’s Niinimäki wind farm.
FairWind joins more than 30 leading energy companies working together to ensure the energy transition is backed by the skilled workforce it needs to power it.
