GWO is looking for certified training providers to support its review of standards from April 2024 to the rest of the year. Join us in shaping the future of safety standards in the global wind industry!

Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is making its annual call for training providers to join its crucial working groups. This vital work ensures the standards are relevant to the safety of our workforce and it is hugely important that GWO's community of training providers is included, alongside the GWO membership, in this process. The input directly influences the enhancement of our standards ensuring the highest level of safety for all.

Working Groups for 2024

GWO is commencing the review of several modules:

•    Hand Tool Awareness and Dropped Objects – kicking off April 2024

•    Solar PV (project approved) – due to start end of Q2 2024

•    Manual Handling Review – due to start Q3 2024

•    Control of Hazardous Energy (CoHe) Review – due to start Q3/Q4 2024

Who can help us?

Training providers with relevant expertise and experience in delivering training within the subject areas mentioned. For Solar PV, we are keen to engage training providers with experience delivering safety and technical training to industry at both the industrial and residential scales of the sector.

What’s Involved?

•    Hand Tool Awareness and Dropped Objects: 9 online meetings & 2 in-person pilots

•    Solar PV: 6 meetings (1 day each) - 2 in person & 4 online in the period from May to Nov, and 3 pilots of approx. 1 week duration each in the Oct - Nov period

•    Manual Handling Review: 2-4 online meetings & 1 in person meeting with 1 pilot

•    Control of Hazardous Energy (CoHe) Review: 2-4 online meetings, 2 in-person, 1 pilot
