Industry training providers from around the world will be getting into gear as the GWO Safety & Training Forum 2025 get under way today.
On 7th and 8th October, GWO hosts its annual Forum & Awards, bringing together renewable energy’s leading lights from the global training community.
GWO members, training providers, certification bodies and a wide variety of other industry stakeholders visit the GWO Forum and Awards every year to get important updates and insights, network with their peers, share best practice and contribute to our workforce future at workshops and debates.
This year, the event returns to Europe for the first time since 2022 and with renewables making up a whopping 57% of its total energy generation, this year’s host country Spain is a front-runner in the energy transition, making it the natural destination for learning, collaborating and contributing to the future of the industry.
You’ll enjoy a packed conference programme over two full days, plus the Forum culminates in the GWO Safety & Training Awards, where outstanding examples of GWO training from around the world compete for the attention of an independent panel of expert judges. A record number of nominations have already been received, and hundreds of instructors creating great learning outcomes every day will hope to win the Instructor of the Year Award.
Forum attendees are always the first to know about what’s coming up and guests at our 2024 event were no exception. By joining us at the Forum last year, you would have enjoyed an exclusive preview of several new initiatives, many of which are now on the market, like the REcognition process and early details about our soon-to-launch training standards for technicians in commercial and utility-scale solar PV.
With a solid representation from all continents and a record number of award hopefuls, it’s safe to say that the GWO Forum & Awards is the place to be for everybody contributing to global renewable energy workforce development.
