Solar Training Standards Initiative: Charter of Support

Global Solar Council and Global Wind Organisation are developing a basic safety and technical training package for solar technicians.

The standards are created in a collaboration for the industry, by the industry, with an aim to set common world-wide safety training standards based on available industry statistics and shared risk assessments. We see these safety training standards support safe systems of work and mitigate risks identified in work functions pertaining to the renewable energy industry. The companies signing this charter of support commit to use and recognize GWO solar training standards whenever appropriate for work functions pertaining to the renewable energy industry in order to mitigate risks faced by own employees as well as other personnel working for suppliers.
