Committees

North America Committee

The GWO North America Committee was established in 2019 and is responsible for introducing GWO standards to North America.

The committee is attended by current members, in particular major manufacturers and operators from the region such as GE Renewable Energy, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Enercon, as well as owner operators including Ørsted, Acciona Energia and RWE Renewables.

The GWO North America Committee's objectives are:

  1. Promote adoption of GWO in North America
  2. Align GWO Standards with any regulatory requirements or practices prevalent or in development in the North American market
  3. Drive and oversee special initiatives to support the above

Representation on the GWO North America Committee is reserved for employees of Leading Member Companies, according to the GWO Articles of Association.

Wes is an experienced HSE professional and has been in his role at RWE since 2022. Wes earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in safety, security and emergency management from Eastern Kentucky University.

Kristy is a skilled health and safety and technical training leader with expertise in strategic planning change management and project administration. Kristy also brings a combination of experiences gained in the renewable energy and electric utility industries.

Project HSE Manager, Ørsted
Will is a safety professional with a record of success at instituting policies, procedures and programs that reduce direct and indirect accident and incidents. Will joined the North America Committee in 2022.
