Together with our members, GWO creates training standards in basic safety and technical skills required to install and operate the world's wind energy fleet. Standards help our industries work more efficiently and effectively. GWO Standards are taught in over 400 certified training centres located in more than 50 countries and territories around the world.

Forecasting training needs for a growing global workforce.

We aim to double our impact every 3 years, from the already established base and in new markets. With you on the team we aim to get better forecasts for training demand and supply in all wind markets across all four corners of the globe to inform our decision-making and maximize use of our resources.  

You will play a significant role by helping to establish a market analytics function alongside one other full-time employee.  

You will work closely with the Leadership and GWO Secretariat to create accurate and compelling forecasts, supporting our internal reporting, business development, marketing, and communications.

Primary responsibilities
  • Facilitate data-driven decision making across the leadership team and membership and establish clear visibility of corporate KPIs
  • Design and develop reusable content, with regular refresh of communications materials tailored by audience type (External, Business and Technical) into a variety of templates and formats
  • Design and produce tailored market commentary and analysis to highlight business case, market forecasts, and trends associated with our strategic objectives
  • Present the above via online meetings/webinars and in public where appropriate
  • Liaise with appointed suppliers (External data analytics providers, Graphic Designers, Web Developers, Other industry Associations) for project and operational delivery.

What we expect
Experience and personal profile:
  • 3-5 years delivering data-driven content in clear, concise, and compelling manner to various audiences, including leadership, business and external forums.
  • High drive and ownership of complex tasks and projects.
  • Ability to facilitate ongoing prioritization discussions, obtain consensus among stake-holders and carry those decisions through to communication materials, with refresh as needed.
  • Ability to present complicated concepts in a simple manner, and to communicate key challenges or overviews relevant to our stakeholders.
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hand-on execution, and a high work capacity.
  • Organised, flexible and service minded, highly analytical with excellent written and verbal skills.
Your expertise:

Our main current datasets are in a Microsoft Azure solution, and data mined using Power BI and Microsoft Excel. We also create data based on surveys and queries. Experience in these applications, and performing the following will be beneficial in the job.

In addition, you must be
  • Fluent or native English speaker – written and oral
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office
