Dear GWO Course Participant,
We are writing to inform you of a change which may have affected the validity period shown in WINDA for a GWO Refresher course which you took last year. You may notice that the new later expiration date on your training last year has been corrected to match with your previous course expiration date and maintain your existing training cycle.
The validity period of all GWO Refresher Courses always begins immediately after the expiration of the previous course. This is explained in detail in the BSTR Standard. This includes courses which are taken during the 60-day refresher extension period and is a measure designed to ensure you maintain the same training expiration date cycle after cycle.
Owing to the complexity of the update to WINDA to allow for the 60-day extension, some course validity dates were calculated incorrectly. This error caused a gap in the training history and generated an incorrect later expiry date than should have been recorded in WINDA.
This error has been corrected and all cases where a training record has been recorded incorrectly have been identified.
The Team at GWO offers you our sincere apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this change may cause.
If you have any questions, please email us at info@globalwindsafety.org for support.
Wishing you the best,
Global Wind Organisation
