Jakob Lau Holst

CEO
Jakob became Chief Executive of GWO in 2016. He is responsible for maintaining the association's governance structure, supporting our membership of windpower companies and driving the industry's adoption of standardised training across the globe.

Jakob Bjørn Nielsen

Chief Operating Officer
Jakob Bjørn is part of the GWO senior management team with responsibility for projects, operations, compliance, governance and risk. He previously held training leadership roles at both MHI Vestas and Siemens Windpower before joining GWO in 2017.

Søren Sejer Gøtzsche

Head of Operations & Compliance
Søren has worked with GWO since 2015 and is responsible for the association's Audit & Compliance secretariat functions. He is also GWO's lead on WINDA, the global training certification and verification database.

Ralph Savage

Director, Global Development & Stakeholder Relations
Ralph joined GWO in 2018, initially as Head of Communication. As part of the GWO senior management team he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic programmes to encourage the adoption of GWO training standards across the global wind power industry.

José Jimenez

Governance & Risk Manager
Jose has worked in wind since 2003 in a variety of HSE leadership roles with GE Renewable Energy. He joined GWO in 2019 and is responsible for internal and external governance, operational risk and business continuity.

Andrea Scassola

Business Analytics Manager
Andrea is specialized in creating relevant business intelligence and establishing visibility for corporate KPIs to facilitate data-driven decision-making. His market forecasts, analyses and reports feed into GWO’s strategy. Before joining in 2022, he was a Senior Market Analyst at Wood Mackenzie and Universal Robots.

Dan Ortega

North America Representative
Dan joined Global Wind Organisation in July 2021 following a fifteen year career with Vestas. Dan is responsible for growing our training provider network in the USA & Canada, and representing members across the region.

Nina Kirk

Global Communication & Marketing Lead
Nina Kirk joined GWO in March 2021. She has a background in strategic communication and marketing, both as Client Lead and Senior Strategic Consultant. Nina helps to increase GWO's impact via strategic communication and marketing projects.

Dorrit Haunstrup Bregner

Quality Manager
Dorrit joined GWO in March 202 as Quality Manager. She has a background as Quality Manager at Siemens Gamesa, having worked in the wind industry since 2013, and a long career elsewhere in quality management, audits and regulatory requirements across industries.

Thomas Grønlund

Training Project Manager
Thomas manages GWO training standard reviews and development projects. Thomas had a long career in the Royal Danish Navy, Training and Education branch, before joining GWO in August 2020. His key focus areas are pedagogical and didactic development.

Julie Anne Brown

Training Project Manager
Julie manages GWO training standard reviews and development projects. A specialist in education stakeholder management and pedagogical tools, she was previously an  educator working in the USA and Middle East before becoming a course manager  in connection with fire inspector and management courses.

Mihaela Popa

PMO Manager
Mihaela is responsible for the GWO Project Management Office function, ensuring standardised processes and tools are available across the Secretariat. Before joining GWO in 2021, she was a Leadership Development Consultant at Nordea. She specialises in learning design, facilitation, agile project management, and community building.

Ian Buckland

Engagement and Editorial Specialist
Ian joined GWO in 2021 and he is responsible for the quality management assurance of GWO Safety Training Standards and other GWO assets. His background is in corporate social responsibility and he has worked as a sustainability consultant with many multinationals in different industries.

Ilaria Gabella

Business Analytics and Communications Associate
Ilaria joined GWO in November 2019, to provide general communication and marketing support. Ilaria was previously employed via internship at the International Air Transport Association

Fabrizia Samarelli

Coordinator
Fabrizia joined GWO in February 2019. She supports all stakeholders in matters relating to GWO training and certification as part of the operations and compliance function.

Jannie Bram

Coordinator
Jannie joined GWO in 2021 to support the secretariat’s operations and compliance function. She has been working in wind since 2018 with Vestas. Her background is in business administration both in the private and public sectors.

Neli Madzharova

Project Manager
Neli manages GWO cross functional projects as well as training standard reviews and development projects. She has extensive experience in international project management and collaboration with a diverse set of international stakeholders. Prior to joining GWO in June 2022, she was a project manager in an international organisation working on a project for the European Commission.

Anna Margrét Eggertsdóttir

Coordinator
Anna joined GWO in January 2022 to support the Secretariat’s operations and compliance function. Her background is in public administration and academic research.

Jocelyn Bruckart

Coordinator
Jocelyn joined GWO in February 2020, to support the team in planning and execution of selected projects, operations and compliance, plus stakeholder relations.

Rasmus Andersson

IT Administrator
Rasmus joined GWO in 2022 as IT administrator to support WINDA's operation and offer general IT support to the secretariat. His background is in software solutions with a focus on Security and Infrastructure.

Virginia Catena

Social Media & Communications Associate
Virginia joined GWO in 2022 to support Social media and Communication tasks. She has an MA in Cultural Studies & Communications from Roskilde university. She has previously worked in communications within sustainable food systems.

Tim Nicol

Assistant
Tim joined GWO in September 2021 as a student assistant, to provide marketing and communications support. Tim studies an MSc in Climate Change at the University of Copenhagen and has previously worked in business administration and digital marketing in the UK.

Emilie Nørgaard Haslund

Assistant
Emilie studies International Business in Asia at the Copenhagen Business School. She joined GWO in 2021 to support the Secretariat's operations, compliance and training standards development functions.

Ema Fančovičová

Assistant
Ema studies Business, Language, and Culture at the Copenhagen Business School. She speaks four languages and she is also learning Danish. Ema joined GWO in 2021 and supports the operations and compliance function of the secretariat.

Tian Xie

Assistant
Tian studies International Business at the Copenhagen Business School. Recently she also completed an AP degree in Marketing Management in Roskilde, DK. Tian joined GWO in 2020 and supports the operations and compliance function of the secretariat.

Arooj Chaudhry

Assistant
Arooj studies General Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She previously studied IT for two years in Finland. She is also learning Danish. Arooj joined GWO in 2020 and supports operations, compliance and IT functions.

Maria Lefkothea Drosou

Assistant
Maria studies an MSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen. She joined GWO in 2022 to support the Secretariat's operations, compliance and training standards development functions as a student assistant.
