Jakob Lau Holst

Jakob became Chief Executive of GWO in 2016. He is responsible for maintaining the association's governance structure, supporting our membership of windpower companies and driving the industry's adoption of standardised training across the globe.

Søren Sejer Gøtzsche

Head of Operations
Søren has worked with GWO since 2015 and is responsible for the association's Audit & Compliance secretariat functions. He is also GWO's lead on WINDA, the global training certification and verification database.

Haben Zekarias

Business Process Manager (On maternity leave)
Haben joined GWO in 2017. She supports all committees and GWO leadership with process alignment, quality assurance, strategy implementation and project management.

Jakob Bjørn Nielsen

Director, Training and Operations
Jakob Bjørn manages and develops the GWO training standards portfolio. He previously held training leadership roles at both MHI Vestas and Siemens Windpower before joining GWO in 2017.

Ralph Savage

Director, Global Development & Stakeholder Relations
Ralph joined GWO in 2018, initially as Head of Communication. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic programmes to encourage the adoption of GWO training standards across the global wind power industry.

Fabrizia Samarelli

PA to the CEO (on maternity leave)
Fabrizia joined GWO in February 2019, to support the CEO in planning and execution of selected projects, communication and stakeholder relations.

Liz Carroll

Business Supporter
Liz joined GWO in February 2019 to support GWO’s operations, training development and stakeholder management functions. She has a strong background in business administration having held a variety of roles in government relations industry.

José Jimenez

Governance & Risk Manager
Jose has worked in wind since 2003 in a variety of HSE leadership roles with GE Renewable Energy. He joined GWO in 2019 and is responsible for internal and external governance, operational risk and business continuity.

Student Assistant - Communication & Marketing
Ilaria joined GWO in November 2019, to provide general communication and marketing support. Ilaria was previously employed via internship at the International Air Transport Association
