About GWO

Global Wind Organisation is a non-profit body founded by wind turbine manufacturers and owners. Our members strive for an injury free work environment in the wind turbine industry, setting common international standards for safety training and emergency procedures.

In 2019, The GWO North America Committee was established. It is responsible for introducing GWO standards to North America.

The committee is attended by current members, in particular major manufacturers from the region such as GE Renewable Energy, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Nordex and Enercon, as well as owner operators including Avangrid Renewables, Ørsted, Acciona, and RWE Renewables.
